February 5, 2018 marked the date when the Berlin Wall was gone for the same amount of time that it divided the city and the world from 1961 to 1989: 28 years, 2 months, and 27 days.

My brother is 28, born in the wind of change of autumn ‘89.

Today I visited for the first time Berlin Wall Memorial and I was deeply impressed and intimidated by the remaining original parts of the wall which will always be linked to my childhood.

Shall we never forget how painful that separation of a nation has been to so many families.
